Highlights of the area include:
- Cellar door sales at up to 40 wineries including Houghton and Sandalford.
- Extensive cycle trails.
- Guildford Heritage Walk Trails.
- Swan Valley River Cruises or horse drawn wagon trail tours.
- Guildford Courthouse interpretive displays.
- Boutique breweries and distilleries.
- Shopping for antiques in historic Guildford.
- Local produce including grapes, chocolates, olive oil, cheese and nougat.
- The many art and craft galleries and studios.
In October every year the Swan Valley celebrates the people and the produce of the region during the Spring in the Valley Festival. Spring in the Valley is one of Australia’s largest and most popular food and wine festivals, celebrating community, wine, food, art and music.
Location: the Swan Valley is located 15 kilometres north east of the city of Perth.
