The Sunset Coast
Rating
9.20
ranking: 11

The Sunset Coast comprises 19 spectacular beaches which offer many vantage points to view Western Australia’s magnificent sunsets.

Some of the most popular and safest swimming beaches are:

  • Cottesloe Beach
  • Swanbourne Beach
  • City Beach
  • Scarborough Beach
  • Trigg Beach
  • North Beach
  • Sorrento Beach

The beaches are great for swimming, surfing, or just watching the waves. Most of the beaches are patrolled by life guards.

Nearly the entire length of this stretch of coastline has pedestrian paths, cycle ways, BBQ and picnic facilities, great cafes and restaurants. The Sunset coast is also home to a host of water sports including surfing, wind and kite surfing.

AQWA – located at the northern end of the Sunset Coast – is a fantastic aquatic centre that showcases Western Australia’s marine environment.

Location: the Sunset Coast stretches from Fremantle’s Port Beach to Hillarys Boat Harbour, north of the city of Perth.

The WA coast is second to none. Driving from Trigg to Sorrento I always think of a bus ride I took from Nice to Monaco - we are world class, no doubt about it.

Cott beach is the most picturesque beach along the WA coast. And after you've had a dip head up to indiana tea house for a bite to eat
