A visit to the Perth Cultural Precinct in Northbridge is an ideal way to experience the heart of Western Australia’s art, history and theatre.
The Art Gallery of Western Australia is home to the State Art Collection which comprises over 15,500 works of art, including an extensive selection of contemporary and traditional Indigenous art. The gallery is home to art from Western Australia, Indigenous art, as well as a good collection of art from all over the world.
The Western Australian Museum was established in 1891 and current collections now number over two million specimens and artefacts.
The Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts comprises a 100 seat performance space, two galleries and six studio sized exhibition spaces, an ante room and the Fuel Bar and Café. PICA’s mission is to support contemporary arts practices.
The State Library of Western Australia is Western Australia’s premier research library, providing a wealth of information resources and supporting the 232 public libraries in the State.
