- Fremantle Prison was built by convicts in the 1850s and was closed as a place of imprisonment in 1991 after 136 years of continuous use. In 1992 it was opened to the public as a heritage and tourist site. The prison offers a range of tours that engage and inform. The Fremantle Prison is a wheelchair accessible tourist attraction.
- Western Australian Museum – Maritime, provides exhibitions of shipwrecks and WA’s maritime history across three sites: the Maritime Museum, the Shipwreck Galleries and the Submarine Ovens.
- The Army Museum of Western Australia houses, conserves and displays collections of Western Australia's Army heritage.
- The Fremantle Markets site was originally built as a market hall in 1897 and is now home to an eclectic and enduring collection of shops, stalls and entertainment.
