Wellington National Park

Wellington National Park is situated between Bunbury, Collie and Dardanup and is 2.5 hours drive from Perth. The park covers an area of 17,000 hectares.

The park is home to some of Western Australia’s most magnificent eucalypt forests; jarrah, marri and yarri (Blackbutt).

The main feature of Wellington National Park is the Collie River Valley which comprises a lake and a gorge.

Highlights of the park include Minninup Pool, Wellington Dam Quarry, Honeymoon Pool and Potters Gorge. While you're there, check out the Wellington Discovery Forest. The centre incorporates self guided walk trails and information on the ecology of the Jarrah forest.

The Wellington National Park region and the Ferguson Valley are also home to the infamous Gnomesville.

Location: Wellington National Park is located 212 kilometres south of the city of Perth, or 59 kilometres east of Bunbury.

Magnificent tall timber and superb forest wildflowers to be seen in season. Of special note are community projects like the Crooked Brook Forest near Dardanup which offers a range of trails from wheelchair accessible to rugged rocky tracks.

Well worth the drive through the majestic forests to discover Glen Mervyn dam.

The forests are so majestic and the dams are havens for recreation.

Glen Mervyn Dam is a hidden gem in a national park and should be visited just for the majestic surroundings.
