Bunbury and Koombana Bay are home to bottlenose dolphins that interact with visitors via the Dolphin Discovery Centre.
The Dolphin Discover Centre opened in 1994 and is the first dolphin centre in Australia dedicated entirely to research.
There are up to 100 dolphins living in Koombana Bay and groups of them regularly visit the shallow waters in front of the centre.
Visit the centre for a close encounter; swim with the dolphins and trained volunteers, or snorkel with the dolphins out in the bay. There is also the Dolphin Watch Boat Cruise – providing visitors with the opportunity to watch the dolphins as they swim and play around the boat.
The Dolphin Discovery Centre is a wheelchair accessible tourist attraction.
Location: The Dolphin Discovery Centre is located in Bunbury, which is 180 kilometres south of Perth.
