The Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge runs from Cape Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste and was formed by a combination of granite rock, topped with limestone and the occurrence of sand dunes. The resulting environment proved ideal for the formation of caves that are richly decorated by stalactites, helictites, shawls and flowstones.
The Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park is home to some of the most spectacular caves in Western Australia.
