The Australian Prospectors and Mining Hall of Fame celebrates the heritage and stories of the goldfields and the mining industry and is located three kilometres from Kalgoorlie on the Goldfields Highway.
The complex comprises an historic precinct and the contemporary Mining Hall of Fame building, located on the Hannans North Heritage Mining Reserve. The heritage precinct incorporates reconstructed buildings from mine sites that were located in the Kalgoorlie Goldfields and the Murchison region, as well as the Western Australian Museum’s collection of mining equipment.
Today, visitors have the chance to experience an underground mine tour, explore the galleries and exhibits and watch a gold pour demonstration.
The complex includes two gardens: the Chinese Garden of Remembrance and the Australian Eremophila Garden. The Chinese Garden of Remembrance commemorates and celebrates the spirit and courage of the people from all over the world who contributed to the heritage of the Goldfields region.
Location: Kalgoorlie is located 595 kilometres east of the city of Perth.
