Carnarvon Banana Plantations
Rating
7.18
ranking: 95

Carnarvon’s consistently warm and sunny climate make it an ideal year round holiday destination.

Carnarvon's 180 plus plantations annually produce 46 million dollars worth of produce, including more than half of Western Australia’s banana crops.

Regarded as the ‘fruit bowl’ of Western Australia, Carnarvon offers the best and freshest local produce. The region’s mild climate, its pest-free status and the fertile land near the Gascoyne River combine to result in top quality fruit and vegetables. Carnarvon produces 70% of Western Australia’s tropical and sub-tropical fruit and vegetables.

To sample some of Carnarvon’s produce head to the Growers’ Market in Carnarvon each Saturday morning from May to September.

Location: Carnarvon is located 905 kilometres north of the city of Perth.

Used to live on a banana plantation on the Gascoyne River and the fruit, etc, is so fresh.
